Full-Time Customer Sales Representative
Expedited Logistics is a 3rd party logistics company just over 1-year-old and growing quickly. We have a strong relationship with our parent company which celebrated its 70th year in business in 2022. We partner with our asset side on occasion to offer in-house services that not every 3PL has access to including OTR and local trucks offering reefer LTL and TL service along with a drayage division giving us port access, and two state-of-the-art cold storage facilities in southern California. We provide solutions for our customers that most freight companies cannot. Headquartered in Jurupa Valley, California, have recently opened our newest office in the Midwest in January 2023.
Expedited is searching for an experienced full-time customer sales representative with an extensive book of business and customer following to be a part of the excitement in helping further develop our company.
No in-office time is required, but weekly calls are expected via MS Teams, Zoom, etc. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, reliable, ambitious, and eager to put in the time and effort needed to take the business to the next level.
Your sales duties would include:
- Win new clients who can benefit from Expedited Logistics’ track record of fantastic service.
- Make in-person, phone, video conference, and email sales contacts to build relationships, share information, and move prospects toward becoming a client. Meet clients face-to-face at their facilities to build relationships where possible.
- Identify segments of client and prospective client freight & warehousing needs where we add value.
- Coordinate and respond to RFPs and RFQs. Work with the team to provide competitive rates and service packages for clients.
We transport freight to and from anywhere in the USA and Canada and have strong trucking, drayage, and warehousing performance to deliver on promises made. Our 3PL warehousing business can handle everything from temperature-controlled storage, container de-van, and cross-drayage docking. Expedited Logistics’ combination of pricing, performance, and solutions is an excellent toolkit for winning sales. We are a group that makes things happen when others cannot.
COMPENSATION:
COMMISSION BASED. LAST YEAR’S TOP SALESPERSON GROSSED $300k+
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: College degree and/or military experience preferred; HS graduate minimum requirement.
EXPERIENCE:
- Two years experience minimum in any type of sales with proven ability to generate new sales. A minimum of one year’s experience in the freight industry is required.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite including Teams and PowerPoint.
- Existing book of business preferred.
- Stable work history.
